The Telstra official Australian directories are organized by state and territory: New South Wales (Sydney), includes Lord Howe Island; Victoria (Melbourne); South Australia (Adelaide); Queensland (Brisbane, Gold Coast, Cairns); Tasmania (Hobart); Northern Territory (Darwin, Alice Springs); Western Australia (Perth), includes Christmas Island and Cocos Islands; and Australian Capital Territory (Canberra)
The country code for Australia is 61. When dialling from outside the country, drop the initial zero in the area code.

Was good when it launched but now appears to be unmaintained, no updates since 2010, reverse search is broken, and they don't respond to questions about whether they plan to fix it. I'll give it another couple of months and then delete the link to this obsolete site if nothing changes.
